INKEK was founded to promote sustainable urban development through climate-sensitive and energy-efficient planning. Our interdisciplinary team tackles complex challenges in urban climatology and environmental meteorology, climate-sensitive urban and regional planning, and climate-adaptive construction.
The Institute for Climate and Energy Concepts was founded by Lutz Katzschner, Wiebke Kirchhof, Sebastian Kupski and Jochen Steube in 2013. Our objective is to holistically consider climate mitigation and climate adaptation to avoid conflicts in the planning process and generate positive synergies.
