Domains:
Data-services related to weather, climate and extreme weather events to facilitate risk prevention, disaster resilience as well as climate change adaptation.
Management of energy flows in a city/community specific context and in conjunction with other sectors.
Use Case Ingolstadt 1: Visualisation of Climate Adaptation Measures (dashboard, integration in digital twin)
Based on an extreme weather event visualisation in densely populated areas using hourly climate and weather data, a network of sensors enables warnings and recommendations for the population. A dashboard provides information on nearby cool locations, drinking water supplies and forecasts electricity and heat generation from renewable energies.
Use Case Ingolstadt 2: Climate Adaptation in industrial areas
(Simulation of future scenarios)
The heavy rain hazard map will be integrated into the digital twin to simulate extreme runoff and plan targeted preventive measures. Climate adaptation actions will be prioritized based on land availability. Climate data integration enables assessment of urban ventilation impacts.
